This book contains 24 scenarios addressing these everyday struggles and gives practical strategies and suggestions for both child and parent. The scenarios are grouped into three categories; rules that may be frustrating at home, rules that may be frustrating about friends, and rules that may be frustrating about school. Each rule begins with a statement and illustration from the child's point of view, followed by a question and answer addressing the logical reasons a child is expected to comply. A few of the rules covered in this book include: why do I have to wear shoes and a jacket when I go outside, why do I have to share toys, why do I have to let other kids play the game the "wrong" way, why do I have to do things that get my hands dirty, and why do I have to be quiet when I am working at school.
