Parents discuss how they have used play to successfully teach their children, and strategies are demonstrated for creating the structure necessary to help a child develop play skills. Particular emphasis is placed on "object-focused play," which helps children explore objects and relate to others by sharing experiences involving those objects. This DVD was produced by Behavioral Intervention Association (BIA), a nonprofit corporation that develops and implements intervention programs for young children under the umbrella of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
